How to Apply

Application Process

1.Attend the Parent Orientation Meeting

2.Collect Supporting Materials for the Application The following items need to be included with your completed application:

◦copies of report cards for the past two years
◦copy of the most recent standardized test results
◦record of immunizations

If you do not have your own copies, request your child’s previous school to mail them to you immediately. Arrangements can be made with the SEA office for testing if test scores are not available.

3.Obtain and complete the Application. SEA applications are available for $50 from either the Sunshine Education Academy offices located at 10505 Valley Blvd. #234, El Monte, CA 91731. You may pick one up in person or mail a check to: 10505 Valley Blvd. #234, El Monte, CA 91731. If you have any questions, call the Sunshine Education Academy Office at (626) 283-7210.

4.Return the Application by April 1. Completed applications are to be returned to the SEA office. Be sure to include all items since incomplete applications cannot be processed. It takes approximately a month to process a completed application. Applicants will be notified by mail as to the results of the application. Some applicants may be asked to come to the school for an interview before the final decision is made.
